The Catholic Encyclopedia defines a "Chaplet" as being from the French word meaning wreath or crown, a set of beads strung together for counting prayers. This term is often used for the five-decade rosary (from rosarium, "rose-garden"), and is also applied to other devotions which use beads to count prayers or aspirations.
In their most simple forms, Chaplets are short prayer devotions most often based on the rosary. However, there are many Chaplets with little or no direct Marian connection and are instead prayers specifically for the intercession of a particular Saint.
These crystal chaplets are an wonderful addition to your prayer routine. Each crystal chaplet is made according to the saint prayer for intersession. Each crystal chaplet comes with a prayer card and information about your saint.
